Brew to Brew Training Week 1

About a week ago I started training for a 5 mile leg of a 44 mile race called Brew to Brew. The race begins at Boulevard Brewery in KC and ends at the Freestate Brewery in Lawerence, KS.

First week I’m running a solid mile and a half, which I am excited about since I’ve never really run before in my life. Training mishaps this week include very sore calf muscles, stomach cramps and taking a spill on the treadmill.

Valentines day was great here in Springfield, we had a great meal at a korean joint and then went to a show at the Skinny Improv. All in all a good week.
