At Swagbot we call ourselves “the different t-shirt people” because we do our best to create human billboards that provide a highly leveraged return on our client’s marketing investment. This is important since a number of our clients are small businesses, churches, charities and other non-profit organizations.
We are constantly exploring new ways to utilize the t-shirt as a “billboard” and we’ve included some interesting examples in the photos above.
1. Tweepared Real Time Tweet Shirt - This was a charity event that we put together for the Greater Ozarks Chapter of the American Red Cross to help get the word out about emergency preparedness. We used Twitter to create a series of Real Time Tweet Shirts in order to drive new followers to the GOARC’s Twitter account.
2. Coffee Ethic Staff Shirts - Nothing really new here, however by simply changing the word barista to suggest one of the Coffee Ethic’s single origin coffees, the potential to upsell higher end products is highly probable. The t-shirt in this example gets seen between 150 to 300 times daily to a loyal customer base. It’s easy to underestimate the combination and power of a suggested sell, friendly smile and award winning customer service.
3. Stacia Skinner Resume Shirt - A student from a local Paul Mitchell affiliate school approached us with an interesting concept, she wanted to put her resume on a t-shirt as a promotional tool as she heads out on her job search. We created a short promo video, marketing piece and these resume shirts.
4. Mother’s Day Kid’s Drawing Shirt - For a Mother’s Day present for one of our clients, we scanned a few drawings and converted them into this t-shirt. I use this as an example as a potential promotional tool for a number of different businesses, for instance what about a drawing contest where the winner gets a free shirt, a gift certificate and their picture on the website.
5. Katherine Wolf Hidden Message Shirt - This is one of our favorite shirts that we’ve ever made, we were approached to print this shirt and were humbled by the request to be a part of such an amazing fundraiser. This shirt is printed on an Alternative Apparel Vintage Cotton Tee which has a translucent quality when back lit. Katherine’s amazing story is printed on the inside so only the wearer knows the full meaning of the story and to the casual observer they only see the Heart in Hand design. Erika at www.sugarpaper.com did a really awesome job on the design and we’re so happy we could be involved with the project.
