SPRING 2010 INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY
VINTAGE VICE, LLC is seeking interns who are currently pursing a degree or career in fashion design, writing, entertainment, marketing, business or the media arts. We are excited about our proximity to the MSU Fashion Technology Department and are always seeking out new opportunities to foster emerging talent.
We are looking for people who are intelligent, passionate, energetic, outgoing, talented and who have a sincere desire to pursue careers in fashion, design, writing, marketing or business. We aren’t looking for people to make coffee, we are looking for people who will be actively engaged in helping us create a better business for our customers.
Program Requirements
Our program is an 8 week unpaid internship, designed to provide a holistic view of the day-to-day operations of a retail clothing store. A basic working knowledge of online social media platforms is a must. In addition, we are looking for smart, stylish, friendly and confident people who are self-starters and have one or more of the following skills:
- Writing / Public Relations or Marketing, Advertising or Promotion
- Photography or Graphic design
- Sketching, Sewing or Pattern Making
- General Knowledge of Fashion Industry
- Trendspotting & Research
- General Business, Accounting or Strategic Planning
Duties will include but not be limited to:
- Creating & Administering Surveys
- Social, online and street level marketing
- Writing and content development
- Developing and implementing promotional micro-campaigns
- Creating floor plans, layouts and other planning guides
- Assisting in day to day visual merchandising
- Data input and other general clerical duties
- Maintaining and updating products on our e-commerce store
